BMW E36 M3 (The Leichtbau)
This E36 M3 is a blend between track car and street car. This car features seats from a decommissioned GT3 car, ITBs from a S54 with an in-house designed kit, brakes from a Porsche 911, and more...
The Leichtbau is a long term project here at TCE. This car is destined to be the perfect balance between a track car, and a street car. This car is frequently used to test and design new products for TCE Motorsport as well as test upgrades that we then recommend to other customers.
The 996 Big Brake Kit is one such product that is a highly recommended upgrade. Improving the pedal feel of the car to be more progressive as well improving the ability for the car to resist brake fading under hard braking sessions.
Another major upgrade is a S54 throttle body conversion for the S52 engine. Using a in-house designed adaptor plate and throttle linkage. The throttle linkage is one of the best party tricks, featuring a progressive pedal which allows for increased drivability allowing for a non-linear throttle which exponentially opens as the pedal moves through its travel. The spacer is made from Nylon, which prevents heat transfer from the head to intake which improves intake air temperatures.
This car also sports a few other upgrades...
- Eibach Lowering Springs
- Bimmerworld Racing Exhaust System
- Bilstein B6 Shocks
- Replica Stiffened LTW Wing
- Interior Weight Reduction
- Ireland Engineering V2 Short Shifter
- Kosei K1 Wheels (17in x 8.5in Square) with Continental Extreme Contact Tires
- Turner Motorsport Lip Tray
This car is still a work in progress! As the build continues, we will update this!
